No, any inverter can work with the BMS.
Additional electrically isolated outputs (Disable Charge / Discharge) enable the control of inverters without a CAN interface.

How can a parameter update be performed?Use a terminal program such as TeraTerm and the BMS shell program to change parameters. For web access also via the web interface - please ask us.
How can a SW update be carried out?Only with a proactive SW tool installBMSServiceTool_0v002.exe for Windows. Please ask us.
How can I access the saved BMS data? Please contact us.
How can I connect multiple terminals to cluster systems?See manual for LiMaster.
What type of current sensor is recommended? The BMS was tested with LEM HASS 100 current sensors. Any equivalent type should work. Note that both + and - signals are required.
What type of relay is recommended / required? The relay is controlled by a pulse > 50 ms, < 100 ms for bi-stable relays. We recommend relays of LAYHER AG Type 400.
How is temperature measurement performed? The BMS is able to measure 16 temperatures based on NTC 10k, 3940.
It has 4 RJ45 plugs, each for 4 external temperature sensors. See manual 1.3. an overview of connectors.
You can use the CellCon NTC boards on the cell connectors or place the temperature sensor anywhere in the battery.
The BMS also operates without temperature measurement (DIP switch 6 off).
How do the DIP switches affect the behavior of the BMS?Switch 1 for 1 or 2 connected relays.
Switch 3-5 specifies the interface (without, CAN, multicast)
Switch 6 Temperature measurement switched on.
What is meant by reduced current - DIP switch 7?In the case of CAN communication, the BMS can notify the inverter of reducing the charging current in order to avoid overcharging the cells.
How to remove the ERNI plugs?Use a small pair of pliers.
Can I use more than one parallel? As long as a CAN protocol to the inverter is necessary, the BMS itself can not operate in a parallel mode.
To build large battery systems, you can connect the batteries in parallel to the inverter, and connect the LiTerminals via Ethernet to a LiMaster. This is used to regulate the communication with the inverter.
What similar products does AutarcTech have?AutarcTech offers a cascadable 4S / 12V Active Balance BMS, which is technically based on the same components as LiTerminal.
This BMS is called Joulie, a separate manual describes the functions and their use.
How can I reset the BMS?One way, press the tiny button on board on the left hand site.
The other option is to simply turn the main switch off and on again.
In both cases, a system check is performed.
What is the power consumption in the switched-off state? The MCU is set in a power-down mode, as is the LTC3300 and the other components.
In active, but non-balanced mode, the power consumption is approximately 1.8W.
In the energy saving mode, the power consumption is less than 0.5mW
